Andre Marques Ships EPT Paris 2023 Mystery Bounty, Neymar Jr Exits In 49th

UPDATE:

Andre Marques ships €10,200 Mystery Bounty event!

Andre Marques shipped his first-ever EPT title after nailing the €10,200 Mystery Bounty tournament. The Portuguese player grabbed his biggest career score of €128,500 in this EPT Paris 2023 event. The newly crowned winner grabbed two of his heftiest cash grabs at the PCA 2023 in The Bahamas just recently. Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. had also qualified for Day 2 of the €10,200 Mystery Bounty but sadly for this Paris Saint-Germain forward he busted at the 49th position. The event paid the top 15 survivors and the min-cash was €8,350. The tourney generated a final prize pool of $1,000,000 in cash prizes and bounties.

Football star Neymar Jr. has made a smashing entry into the ongoing European Poker Tour (EPT) Paris 2023. Really? Oh yes, he has. The PokerStars Cultural Ambassador marked his attendance in Event #3 $10,200 Mystery Bounty and for those who love this star footballer from Brazil will be happy to know that he has qualified for Day 2 of the event. But it wasn’t a smooth sailing ride for the Paris Saint-Germain forward.

The $10,200 Mystery Bounty has a prize pool of €326,600 and 71 players registered for the tournament. But from this only 45 have managed to find a bag going into Day 2. A Russian player named Nikita Kuznetsov is the end of Day 1 chip leader and has 376,500 chips (126 BB) to start Day 2 and battle it out with the other survivors.

Neymar Jr. at EPT Paris 2023

Following Paris Saint Germain’s match at the Champions League against Bayern Munich, Neymar and his entourage made their presence felt. Apart from the star power, the footballer also became the cynosure of attention and we are not surprised at all. But, like we mentioned above, Neymar’s ride into Day 2 was a bumpy one. He couldn’t make hay but survived the Day 1 bloodbath with 103,500 chips in his kitty to advance further into the game. He lost chips and gained some.

The football player also sent Jakov Nesterov home. At Level 8 with blinds 1,000/2,500, ante 2,500, Neymar Jr. (A K ) kicked off the action from under the gun (UTG) with a min-raise of 5,000. Jakov Nesterov (K Q ) from the big blind thought for a while and the shoved for 40,500. The football striker called instantly. The board revealed: 6 3c 3 6 A . This gave the football star better two pairs than his rival who was already looking for the exit door.

The much-awaited event is hosted at Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile and will run from 15th to 26th February 2023. The coveted Main Event will run from 20th to 26th February 2023. It would be interesting to see how this highly anticipated series works out for the Brazilian footballer.
