Natural8 Ambassador Kitty Kuo Wins Asian Poker Tour Taiwan 2021 Main Event

Natural8 Team Hot Ambassador Kitty Kuo has been crowned as the Main Event winner of Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taiwan 2021. APT has resumed live poker tournaments in the Asia-Pacific region and APT Taiwan was held between 19 February to 15 March 2021 at Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTO Club) in Taipei.

The Main Event took place on 26 February and there were a total of 196 entries. The Main Event of APT on Natural8 had a prize pool of USD 71,500 and the top 20 players were paid. Kuo won hefty prize money through the series. She finished third in Event #2: NT$27,000 High Rollers and bagged USD 3,398. In the Main Event, she walked away with USD 25,464.

In an interview, Kuo said that it felt amazing to win a title in her own country. She further added, “I do not participate in several Asian events, especially in Taiwan, so this one is very special for me. I took a long break from playing live poker and now that I am back again, I have a fresh mindset, to begin with.” On the Main Event final table, Kuo went head-to-head with another female player, Chi Ying Tsai who also hails from Taiwan. There were a total of seven Taiwanese players on the final table of the APT Main Event. The only non-Taiwanese player on the final table was Kar Wee Chee who settled for 8th place in the Main Event. Talking about the Taiwanese poker players, Kuo said, “Taiwanese players study a lot, play several international events and hence the quality of their game is very good.” Among her plans, Kuo aims to play cash games and poker tournaments in the United States later this Spring.
