With the Asian Poker Tour and India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January 2022 all wrapped up, the poker felts were back to the daily action-packed routine. The grind on the online felts did not slow down, as poker platforms like Spartan Poker, Adda52, PokerBaazi, and PokerStars rolled out their marquee tournaments. Poker players who added titles to their belts are Mithun Mahesh, Vivek Singh among others. Let’s take a look at the action that unfolded last night.

Mega Stacks – ₹16 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s Mega Stacks tournament welcomed a total of 475 entries and had a buy-in worth ₹3,300. Players who finished in the top 39 spots made the money. The min-cash of the tournament stood at ₹11,040. Mystery player ‘thenextbigshark’ won this event and took home ₹3,20,800 in prize money. Madhur Kapoor aka ‘Freebird11’ was the runner-up who walked away with ₹2,13,280 in his kitty.

Player ‘Disconnect2021’ clinched the title spot and had a payday of ₹3,50,000. The runner-up was Debneil Mukherjee aka ‘NoobNeil’ who walked away with ₹2,12,100 in prize money.

PokerBaazi’s The Endeavour was an exciting affair and had a total of 357 entries. The buy-in of the tournament was ₹3,850. The advertised guarantee of ₹12 Lakh was surpassed and the final prize pool amount was recorded as ₹12,49,000. The top 45 players made the money and the min-cash stood at ₹7,000. The tournament was shipped by player Vivek Singh aka ‘Nutpedding729’ who pocketed ₹2,62,000 in prize money. Gaurav Sharma aka ‘kingkgr123’ finished in the runner-up position and walked away with ₹1,84,000.

The online felts on PokerStars were buzzing with activity as it hosted its Bounty Builder tournament. There were a total of 102 entries in the tournament and the buy-in was worth ₹7,700. Players fought hard to knock out their opponents, however, only the top 11 places were paid. The min-cash given from the regular prize pool was ₹16,599. Online reg Mithun Mahesh aka ‘ThePokeRajaIN’ took home the title and the largest chunk of the prize pool. Mahesh scored ₹1,41,960 in bounty knockouts and also received ₹1,33,637 from the regular prize pool. The runner-up of the event was Rony Chowdhury aka ‘GoGetters1’ who scored ₹11,593 in bounty money and ₹1,33,636 from the regular prize pool.
