Louis Vuitton introduces poker chip set worth $24,000!

To keep you entertained while you are home sheltering, French fashion house Louis Vuitton released its latest luxury creation and this time a brand new, sleek poker chip case. The timing couldn’t get any better. With people turning towards online gaming or home games during the lockdown days, poker has also become a go-to source of entertainment.

On Thursday, Louis Vuitton launched the poker set priced at $24,000. The case is inspired by Vuitton’s suitcase-style President case which has golden metal brass fittings, interior leather lining and a signature of LV embossed with diamonds, flowers printed on coated canvas. However, the set is as much as a fashion statement as it is a way of carrying chips. 

From chess and backgammon travel cases to poker, the house is filled with games collection. For more than 100 years, the brand has expanded and evolved. And now LV may be capitalizing on the trend as the year 2020 has witnessed an influx in newbies entering the poker world. From past 3 months after the COVID-19 pandemic shut work places, non-essentials and most sports leagues, forcing citizens to stay indoors, Google searches for ‘how to player poker’ rose rapidly and the online poker reached a 5-year peak. 

An average poker set usually costs about $100 or more but Louis Vuitton’s monogram edition stands out. The classic President case boasting of the iconic LV monogram design, inside you’ll find a matching deck of cards, dice, chips, and even embossed brass markers. With dimensions of 49cm x 31cm x 6.8cm, it’s comprised of natural cowhide leather on the exterior, microfiber lining, wooden support, paper, brass, and resin elements, as well as golden-metal pieces.
