Jio And Online Gaming Brand Zupee Plan To Penetrate Into Non-Metro Indian Cities

Zupee, one of India’s largest skill gaming companies, has partnered with Reliance Jio Platforms limited. This strategic partnership will consist of product integration and synergies in user engagement and distribution, benefiting more than 450 million users.

The brands aim to create an ecosystem that will help distribute products in a more efficient and faster way which will benefit Zupee customers largely. Reliance Jio users will get access to the online games of Zupee and try out other innovative products that the brand develops. The brand’s partnership is revenue-sharing, said Disher Singh Malhi, co-founder of Zupee.

Disher Singh, CEO, and founder of Zupee said, “As we look to penetrate into the remotest parts of India, Jio will prove to be the perfect partner in this journey. Taking our services to the most disadvantaged people of India and getting them into our fold resonates with providing an internet which would be open, limitless, and decentralised.”

Singh also added that there will be an increase in Indian smartphone exports from $3.6 billion in 2020-21 to $55 billion in 2025 – 26, which is considered to be a 15x growth. He further mentioned that the start-up wishes to put Indian products and games on all the devices that communicate the story of India to the world. The gaming platform wishes to capture the non-metro cities with Reliance’s low-priced 4G and 5G handsets.

Zupee was founded by Siddhant Saurabh and Malhi in 2018, which offers Zupee Gold, Ludo Ninja Gold, Ludo Supreme Gold for both iOS and Android devices. The online real-money gaming platform raised $72 million from Nepean Capital, the Mumbai-based company. This was part of a larger funding round that closed its funding round totaling $102 million. Zupee’s existing investors include Matrix Partners India and Orios Venture Partners.
