Jifeng Huang Nails WSOPC Online Winter Series Main Event

Jifeng Huang aka ‘Snakey’ recently became the latest World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion after shipping the WSOP Online Winter Series Main Event (ME). The Hong Kong-based player clinched the $525 WSOP Winter Online Circuit Series ME title on GGPoker. Huang had a payday of $664,725. The ME winner defeated former WSOP bracelet winner David Misickowski to win the coveted WSOP circuit ring.

The Winter Series ME attracted a total of 14,235 players, who battled hard for the top prize. The advertised guarantee of $5 million was also crushed and the final prize pool stood at $7,117,500. The top nine players who made it to the final table (FT) fetched $2.5 million alone.

The first casualty on the FT was Nikita Kupchin aka ‘FatGerry.’ The Russian had a payday of$66,472. Kupchin was followed by Vietnamese player Vu Tai aka ‘Taicu,’ who departed at the eighth spot with the highest five-figure prize money of $88,642. It was a fairly decent run for Tai considering the player had the shortest stack on the FT.

Georgi Sandev exited in fourth place for a decent $280,311. Next to leave was Rodrigo Presutti aka ‘SePico77’ who departed at the third place setting the heads-up between Miscikowski and Huang. Presutti cashed $373,801.

Finally, Huang beat Miscikowski in the heads-up to claim a pay jump of $166,253 and the WSOP circuit ring. Miscikowski, who’s a WSOP bracelet winner, finished at the runner-up spot for $498,472 at this event.
