Jason Koon Leads Event #3 Of Triton Poker Special Edition Series

World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, Jason Koon is chip lead post the end of Day 1 of Event #3: $75,000 Short Deck of the Triton Poker Special Edition Series. The live poker series is currently underway at the Merit Crystal Cove Resort and Casino in North Cyprus. The Short Deck event is among the most popular tournaments and drew in a total of 51 entries out of which 11 players made it to Day 2.

The success of the tournament resulted in the prize pool reaching a sizable $3,706,500. The winner of this prestigious event will get $1,170,000 in prize money. Only the top seven places will be paid, with a minimum payout of $194,500.

Koon led the final 11 with 2,675,000 chips after an intense Day 1 play. The GGPoker ambassador was followed by Elton Tsang from Hong Kong who was close behind with a 2,615,000 chip stack. Poker legend Phil Ivey had the third chip lead and 1,910,000 chips.

The Day 2 action will start at level 13 with antes at 20,000 while the button will put in 40,000. The play will continue until a winner has been declared. The action will be livestreamed on Triton Poker’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
