IOPC Jan 2020 Main Event Winner – Anurag Srivastava

Anurag Srivastava recently shipped the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) #65 Friday Spotlight and swiftly took home a cheque of ₹10,30,371 Lakh. He’s not new to the felts of Spartan Poker and has been a regular crusher at IOPC. It is usual to have one or two IOPC titles, but you need to have insane skills to ship events in every edition of the poker series. Take a look at the IOPC titles Srivastava won in a period of two and a half years:

At a time when this Delhi boy shipped the IOPC January 2020 Main Event, he became India’s biggest online title winner; with respect to IOPC, he is still the only ME winner to cash such a gigantic amount. He is followed by IOPC July 2021 ME winner Vaibhav Temani who cashed ₹57.26 Lakh and IOPC January 2022 ME crusher Amit Gehani who pocketed ₹56.40 Lakh.

Srivastava is a strong-headed and down to earth persona. He makes his presence felt at IOPC by shipping titles and quietly returns to grinding in other poker series without making too much noise about his spectacular wins. Previously, when Gutshot got in touch with the poker dynamite to know what he thinks of IOPC as a series, he said, “IOPC is the biggest MTT series in India, it provides the best value, and in general it also has a bunch of MTTs and a leaderboard that can provide life-changing money”

While we know a lot about his successes on the poker felts, beyond poker, this Alfred Hitchcock fan is a big-time travel enthusiast. Although he aces at poker, Srivastava calls it his second love. It is quite surreal to believe that despite poker being his second love, Srivastava has cemented his position in the industry quite effortlessly.
