IOPC Day 2: Anurag Srivastava Ships Two IOPC Titles!


The poker fever continued on Day 2 of India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) January 2022 wrapping up on Friday. The online poker series saw top pros and underdogs emerge victorious. Day 2 of the event also witnessed poker pro Anurag Srivastava nail two IOPC titles in a day. All the IOPC events crushed their advertised guarantees, giving us an idea of the series’ success so far. So, let’s dive in and see who the big winners of the night were.

IOPC #7 – ₹4 Lakh GTD

IOPC #7 had a ₹4 Lakh guarantee and a buy-in of ₹550. The tournament had a rebuy plus addon feature and saw a total of 1,076 entries battle it out. The final prize pool generated was ₹5,38,000 which surpassed the original guarantee. After an intense grind, the top 47 places were paid. The min-cash of the event stood at ₹3,066.

The tournament ended with IOPC January 2020 Millionaire Main Event winner, Anurag Srivastava aka ‘CultOfPersonality’ nailing the title. He pocketed ₹1,73,071 in prize money. In runner-up position was National Poker Series (NPS) 2021 gold podium finisher Mohammad Azhar aka ‘Cupid stunt.’ He went home with ₹1,09,934 in his kitty.

The IOPC #9 – DST drew in a crowd of 1,025 entries and had a buy-in of ₹1,100. This helped the event surpass its advertised guarantee to generate a final prize pool of ₹10,25,000. In the end, the top 87 players finished in the money. The min-cash of the event stood at ₹3,177.

Mystery player ‘golddigger1905’ grabbed the top spot and took home ₹1,96,288 in prize money. Atul Khurana aka ‘atulkhurana’ was the runner-up of the event and went home ₹1,22,180 richer.

IOPC #11 – Friday Spotlight ₹50 Lakh GTD

The IOPC Friday Spotlight was the biggest tournament last night with an epic ₹50 Lakh guarantee. Excited players flooded the online felts as they aimed at the top spot. 616 entries slogged hard after paying a buy-in of ₹11,000. The event crushed its original guarantee impressively and the final prize pool stood at ₹61,60,000. The top 63 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹26,796.

Shipping the event and taking home the lion’s share of the prize pool was player Amit More aka ‘Timaerom’ who had a payday of ₹11,91,960. Well-known player Raghav Bansal aka ‘thatssosick’ finished in the runner-up position for ₹7,51,520.
