IOPC Day 16: Shashank Shekhar leads IOPC ME Day 1E

We are just three days away to crown the ultimate champion in the 2020 Indian Online Poker Championship (IOPC) on Spartan Poker. With a number of tournaments being lined up yesterday, the biggest attraction was IOPC Main Event Day 1E, TGIF and The Elite. And here is a complete summary on IOPC Day 16…

IOPC #102 INR 4L GTD

The first tournament of the day began with the lowest buy-in INR 550, attracting a total of 673 runners hunting to grab the first title of IOPC Day 16. Capturing his second title was Vyankatesh Darade aka ‘FollowTheProcess’ who shipped the event after a four-way deal that saw ‘BrodaV’ with the second largest stack, settling in the second place. The champion took down IOPC #49 INR 4L GTD after powering through a field of 500+ entries.

IOPC #103 INR 6L GTD

A total 427 entries pounced to take a slice from INR 6.40 Lakhs worth prize pool guarantee. Money reached the top 31 spots who walked out with INR 5.6K as min-cash. Online regular Abhineet Jain aka ‘bankelal13’ prevailed to take home the prestigious IOPC title after defeating ‘Tamohharan’ in heads-up with AA33 over his opponents 33.

IOPC #104 Monster Stack INR 5L GTD

Well-known circuit grinder Shashank Jain aka ‘westworld’ outlasted a field 649 entries and took away the largest share of INR 5.19 Lakhs prize pool. The INR 880 buy-in event saw the top 63 players taking home INR 2.2K at least. In level #57 of the tournament, Jain knocked out Utkarsh Vaish aka ‘kidpokerNJ’ in heads-up with his AA and seized the first place prize money.

IOPC #105 TGIF INR 18L GTD

The Friday flagship tourney on Spartan Poker, INR 18 Lakhs GTD TGIF garnered a massive field of 1,434 entries. The top 127 finishers took a share out of INR 21.51 Lakhs prize pool. Riding past the competition was online crusher Devang Yadav aka ‘equity_hunter’ who railed out ‘TEXASDOLLI’ in heads-up. With this win, Yadav took home his first IOPC title.

IOPC #106 The Elite INR 60 Lakhs GTD

Another huge attraction last night was The Elite promising INR 60 Lakhs in prize pool guarantee. The champion was crowned in Gokul Raj aka ‘Super Kings’ after the final two players struck for a heads-up deal that saw ‘stupefy’ securing the second place payout.

IOPC #107 Destiny – IOPC Edition

Slightly surpassing the guarantee was the 107th event that garnered 561 entries. The last man standing was Aman Kejriwal aka ‘alwaysriver’ who conquered the field and added the winner’s prize money to his poker wallet. The champion eliminated Saurabh Rohilla aka ‘darksider’ who bowed out in the second place. The top 50 players got INR 5.6K as min-cash.

IOPC Main Event – The Crown Day 1E

The main attraction of the week INR 3 Crore GTD IOPC Main Event on Spartan Poker has already concluded five of eight starting flights. And yesterday was reserved for Day 1D that brought in 446 entries. Bagging the massive stack was Shashank Shekhar aka ‘Goldfish097’ of 261,734 following him was ‘Paperboi’ in the second place with 249,725 chips.
