IOPC Day 13: Mohammad Azhar Emerges As The Biggest Winner Of The Night


Friday grind on the India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 was intense as pro players like Mohammad Azhar and Anuj Yadav clinched winning titles. Yadav not only shipped an event but also topped the glorious IOPC leaderboard. Yadav grabbed the numero uno spot after he toppled two-time leaderboard Bhanu Prakash. This pro has been ruling the leaderboard for nearly five days. Only time will tell us who will win this prestigious leaderboard. IOPC #76 – ₹4 Lakh GTD

The first event of the day was the IOPC #76—a ₹660 buy-in tournament. There were a total of 770 entries and the tournament was shipped by Jaikiran Kumar aka ‘GOLI SODA’ who won ₹89,397 in prize money. The runner-up in this event was Sankalp Marwah aka ‘wobbegong’ who received a pay cheque of ₹56,364.

Though the field was filled with several competitive players, only the top 63 places were paid a min-cash of ₹2,009. The advertised guarantee was surpassed by a very thin margin and the final prize pool stood at ₹4,62,000.

IOPC #77 – Monster Stack – ₹6 Lakh GTD

The Monster Stack event on IOPC Day 13 had 463 entries in total. This ₹1,650 buy-in tournament was won by Avneesh Munjal aka ‘IamAM’ who made ₹1,39,247 in prize money. Top 39 players were paid a min-cash of ₹4,792.

Though the advertised guarantee of this Monster Stack tournament was ₹6 Lakh, it was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹6,94,500.

IOPC #78 – ₹5 Lakh GTD

This tournament was nailed by Kunal Sharma aka ‘UnityPro’ who had a pay day of ₹92,045. Sharma traversed to the top among 568 entries who paid a buy-in of ₹990. Top 39 players were paid a min-cash of ₹3,527. The advertised guarantee was surpassed and a new prize pool of ₹5,11,200 was formed.

IOPC #79 – Friday Prime – ₹15 Lakh GTD

The IOPC Friday Prime was shipped by Anuj Yadav aka ‘tittooTauji’ who cashed ₹3,48,391. Yadav has also been chasing the IOPC leaderboard relentlessly. Finally, this pro took the top spot on IOPC July 2021’s distinguished leaderboard. 

This tournament had a massive 2,459 entries and a buy-in of ₹880. Top 199 players were paid a min-cash of ₹2,616. The advertised guarantee of this IOPC #79 tournament was crushed and a new prize pool of ₹19,67,200 was formed.

 IOPC #80 – Friday Spotlight – ₹60 Lakh

The Friday Spotlight was the high-value tournament which was hosted yesterday. The tournament had 564 entries in total and this event was impressively won by poker champion Mohammad Azhar aka ‘ButtonsHaiBro.’ Azhar received a whopping ₹11,64,000 in prize money.

Top 55 players in this ₹11,000 buy-in event were paid a min-cash of ₹29,400.

IOPC #81 – All Rounder – ₹10 Lakh GTD

The advertised guarantee of this ₹2,200 buy-in event was crushed and the final prize pool stood at ₹12,84,000.
