‘instrumental’ wins The Flash at Spartan Poker

Thursday’s Flash tournament at The Spartan Poker which offers a guaranteed 10 Lakhs in prizes saw a participation of 273 entries which took up the prizepool to INR 10,92,000 well past the original guarantee. ‘instrumental’ emerged as the champion of the tournament for a first place prize of INR 2,41,878. The prizepool was distributed to the top 27 places with a min-cash of INR 10,920.

 

‘instrumental’ defeated Mumbai pro Kanishka ‘Wildflower’ Samant in the heads-up battle of this tournament. In Level #40 with blinds 12,000-24,000-3,000, instrumental had Ad 7h and Wildflower was holding 9d Qd. Both the heads-up opponents were playing aggressively when the last hand happened, and both went pre-flop all-in. The board ran Ah 5h 5s 8h 5d which gave a full house, Fives full of Aces to ‘instrumental’ and the title. ‘Wildflower’ took home INR 1,12,366 for his runner-up effort.
