The first event at the glorious India Poker Championship (IPC) Megastacks May 2022 has finally come to an end. The series has kick-started at Casino Vegas in Hotel Mechi Crown (HMC), Jhapa, Nepal. IPC Megastacks May 2022 has a massive ₹3.5 crore on offer. It has six spectacular events on the schedule that are expected to welcome some of the most popular top pros and poker enthusiasts from all across the country.
In spite of a delayed start, the 8K Mega Satty was a huge success and welcomed a total of 95 entries, each one sitting with a starting stack of 10,000 chips. Among these were big names like Kunal Patni, Chirag Sodha, Arsh Grover, Ritwik Khanna, World Series of Poker bracelet winner Aditya Sushant, and Gutshot sponsored pros Anant Purohit and Dhirendra Kumar. The late registration ended at the end of Level 6. The ₹8,000 buy-in event had some amazing moments and unmissable action. At one point, Sodha knocked out three players in one go and Tournament Director Dexter Mercado prevented Siddarth Singhvi from losing a massive pot due to a dealer’s mistake.
The event guaranteed packages worth ₹8,50,000 to the top 10 players. After almost five hours of intense gameplay, the event finally got its top 10 winners who will get free tickets to the coveted 25K Kick-Off and 60K Main Event each. The top 10 winners are:
Gutshot sponsored pro Anant Purohit finally made it to the top 10 places of this tournament after enjoying a good run at the table. He was seen busting a couple of players at the event while making his way to the top. Sharing his excitement about making it to the top 10 places, Purohit said, “It feels amazing. It was indeed a competitive field and I feel great about making it to the top. Can’t wait to play the 25K Kick-Off and 60K Main Event in the coming days.”
With 10 players walking away with tickets to the 25K Kick-Off and 60K Main Event, the action on the IPC felts has just begun.
