GPC Main Event: 7 Indians progress to Day 2 in Rozvadov

So far September has already observed great number of poker tournaments around the world. The King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic is an exciting poker location attracting bulk of Indian players, as always. Owing to its beauty and inexpensive as it is, Rozvadov is among the most well-known venues for poker events.

The partypoker LIVE German Pokerclub Championship (GPC) €500,000 GTD Main Event paved its way recently with a number of Indian players emerging, and only Tanveer Kohli and chip leader Ankit Kapoor surviving Day 2.

The Main Event comprises of 6 starting flights (Flight 1A-1F) and Day 1B saw a total 203 entries (167 entries and 36 re-entries) with 31 progressing to the big day. Daniel Valentin Dinulescu bagged 2,180,000 chips leading the evening.

Followed by Day 1C, Mehmet Cemil topped a field of 212. Cemil bagged 1,800,000 chips while Antonio banked 1,570,000 chips. Among 34 progressing were 2 Indian players, including Pranav Khandalkar with 660,000 chips and Vinay Rajpal bagging 530,000 chips.

The GPC has been a hot topic in poker world since few days. Another major field was recorded on Day 1D of the tournament. As many as 458 entries were recorded and only 81 are ready to head to Day 2. Basically, the day did not have any Indian participant but a massive stack of 2,500,000 chips was taken by a German known player.

The following flight Day 1E saw 3 Indian players, namely Nehal Kumar Agarwal bagging 1,000,000 chips, Tanveer Singh Kohli with 370,000 chips and lastly, Sameer Tavanandi with 265,000 chips. Ultimately, only 57 progressed out of 349.

Day 1F will gradually follow Day 2. With a huge number of 1,362 entries, only 222 survived. GPC festival has been seen among the most fascinating destination for poker players due to its brilliant location at King’s Casino.
