Goonjan Mall continues hot run; ships PokerStars Sunday PKO

Just a few days back, we reported Goonjan Mall’s achievement of winning not one but two major online poker titles in a night. He won Elite and Uppercut, both of which attract some top talents from around the country. He told us that his next aim is to get the triple crown and by the looks of it, he may actually get there one day, SOON.

Yesterday was the weekly Sunday grind across all platforms and Mall decided to take advantage of his hot streak and go on to ship another title, winning INSCOOP #45: Sunday Special PKO INR 30 Lakh GTD on PokerStars India, where he outlasted the field of 512 entries to add another title to his trophy cabinet.

Every entry paid the buy-in of INR 5,500 and Mall turned out to be the most profitable from them all, bagging a massive top prize of INR 5,59,986 which included INR 3.04 Lakh from the tournament prize pool and INR 2.55 Lakh from the bounty prize pool. He beat another known player Ram Kakkar aka ‘TheLagLawyer’ in heads-up, who fired 3 bullets and had to settle for around INR 2.29 Lakh for finishing second eventually.

Quite a few known names were in contention to win this Sunday tournament but all they could manage is ending up among the top 89 players who received a min-cash of INR 6,530. Some of them included Sumit Sapra (84th), Aditya Sushant (71st), Muskan Sethi (65th), Rubin Labroo (55th), Lakshpal SIngh (51st), Kartik Ved (40th), Aditya Agarwal (31st), Rajat Sharma (20th), Nishant Sharma (9th) and Sandeep Varma (3rd).
