Get set for the 2nd edition of US Poker Open

The US Poker Open (USPO), a popular high-stakes tournament series, is all set to host its 2nd annual event. The series is scheduled between 13-23 February 2019 at the ARIA Resort and Casino, Las Vegas and has 10 events lined-up this year.

All the 10 events in the series will be live streamed with a 30-minute delay and the prestigious series will attract some of the top talents from around the world. The live stream will happen exclusively on PokerGo, a leading poker entertainment brand. USPO 2019 schedule consists of plenty of high-stakes events, including:

  1. Feb 16 – Event #4 $10k Short Deck
  2. Feb 20 – Event #8 $25k 8-Game Mix
  3. Feb 21 – Event #9 $50k NLH
  4. Feb 22 – Event #10 $100k Main Event

The UPSO is the first series in the much bigger High Roller Triple Crown event. The latter also consists of Poker Masters and Super High Roller Bowl along with USPO. The good thing about the USPO is that your tournament fees would be waived off if you register before 2 pm local time.

There will also be something called as High Roller of the Year (HROY). Each player will earn the HROY points by playing any tournament and it will be based on factors like number of tournaments played, number of tournaments won, etc. and the player to top this race will win $100k as well as the title of 2019 USPO Champion and a trophy to go along with it.

Last year saw the inaugural USPO and offered more than $8 million in prize pools over 8 events. All the winners last time were top pros and well-acclaimed names. UK’s Stephen Chidwick took back-to-back titles in the series and also aced the Championship race. The English pro has confirmed playing in the upcoming USPO too.

Keith Tiltson had won the Main Event in the 2018 edition. Justin Bonomo and David Peters had also won titles back then. Daniel Negreanu and Sean Winter were some well-known names in the mix last time and Negreanu is even expected to make a return this year, along with pros like Ryan ReissSam Soverel and 2019 Aussie Millions ME winner Bryn Kenney.
