Gaurav Sood Adds Yet Another High Roller Title To His Credit


As Spartan Poker’s the Millionaire Series rages on, poker players brought in their A-game to the online felts with the hope of clinching top titles. Yesterday’s list of tournaments also featured the highly awaited High Roller tournament which was an incredible success. Day 1A flight for the Millionaire Series Main Event was also hosted yesterday which had a total of 334 entries with Arun Sriram aka ‘vazharmorghulis’ leading the Day 1A survivours. Here’s a lowdown on the rest of the night’s action.

Millionaire Series #15 – ₹5 Lakh GTD

The Millionaire Series started with event #5 which had a ₹5 Lakh guarantee. The ₹550 buy-in event surpassed the initial guarantee by a slim margin and recorded ₹5,70,000 as the final prize pool. The player field stood at an impressive figure of 1,140 entries. From this, 557 were unique players, 142 re-entries, and 441 re-buys. The top 103 places were paid and the min-cash stood at ₹1,539.

The tournament ended in a deal in wherein Vikhyat Ahlawat aka ‘Super Saiyan’ grabbed the top spot for ₹91,757. The runner-up was Ishan Upendra Tipre aka ‘neatvat’ who took home ₹82,263 in prize money.

Millionaire Series #16 High Roller – ₹65 Lakh GTD

The highly-awaited High Roller tournament welcomed many pros. The event was a massive success with the advertised guarantee being crushed impressively. A final prize pool of ₹79,25,000 was generated. There were 317 entries out of which there were 162 unique players, 67 re-entries and 88 re-buys. The top 30 players finished in the money and a min-cash of ₹55,475 were paid to the players. Gaurav Sood aka ‘mozzie17’ shipped the title and grabbed a pay cheque of ₹21,00,125. The runner-up was Vivek Singh aka ‘mansoon’ who took home ₹13,07,625 in winnings.

The day ended with this tournament which had an original guarantee of ₹8.25 Lakh. The final prize pool of ₹9,71,100 surpassed the initial one. The buy-in of this event of ₹990. A massive 1,079 entries (502 were unique entries, 205 re-entries, and 372 re-buys) fought hard for the top spot. The top 103 places were paid and the min-cash was ₹2,621. Willson Yomso aka ‘Ritika Mishra’ clinched the title spot and took home ₹1,44,033 in prize money. Yohan Patel aka ‘PAPITO’ was the runner-up for ₹1,19,566.
