The infamous Robbi Lew-Garrett Adelstein cheating saga seems to have no end. After a brief pause over close to two months, there is a new update in the scandal.
It all started with Garrett Adelstein accusing Lew of cheating using unauthorised devices she was allegedly wearing. Lew won a J4o hand against Adelstein, and that led to the latter accusing her of cheating (even after getting his money back). A lot of accusations and drama followed the incident, with the who’s who of the poker world joining the conversation and even taking sides.
A few months back, Hustler Casino Live (HCL), the show where the entire incident unfolded, announced they were ready to welcome Adelstein back on the show. However, as per the latest update, HCL has ‘indefinitely’ banned the 36-year-old player high stakes pro.
During the latest episode of the popular podcast ‘Nick Vertucci Show,’ the host Vertucci, who is also the co-owner of HCL, said that the casino management is considering the ban as ‘indefinite’ and that they are not looking at ruling out the possibility of allowing Adelstein’s return.
The guest, Ben Lee, a regular HCL player, asked Vertucci about Adelstein rejoining the show during the episode. Vertucci, who spoke to PokerNews and cleared the air that Adelstein wasn’t actually banned from Hustler Casino Live. However, along with the co-owner Ryan Feldman, Vertucci had to make a ‘business decision’ and keep Adelstein away from HCL.
Earlier, when HCL announced that it was ready to welcome Adelstein, he had hinted that he might return for a $1 Million buy-in cash game in May. However, Vertucci revealed in his podcast that Adelsiten would not be among that show’s line-up.
Looking at this, the Robbi Lew-Garrett Adelstein cheating scandal seems to still have some steam left. We wonder what’s next in store in this hot scandal.
