On a Saturday night, 6 June the police conducted a raid on the spot and captured cash worth INR 3.25 Lakh along with several other belongings. A total of eleven persons were detained from the spot and booked under sections of Prevention of Gambling Act by the Sola HC police station.
The cops found these individuals when they received information that the owner of L P Patel farm at the resort had arranged a game and few people had gathered at the spot. These individuals took a weekend trip to a farmhouse to enjoy the game which obviously proved costlier than anything. Some of whom involved in the case aged between 39 to 55 years and two of them were residents of Bhopal and Jodhpur.
Sola HC Police Inspector J P Jadeja said, “As the farmhouse is situated at an isolated place, if more cars are parked there it would raise suspicion, so to avoid getting caught, the persons would have asked their relatives or friends to drop them off at the farm house. Most of those caught are businessmen.” However, these people have been released on bail. For more updates on gaming/gambling around the world, keep reading GutshotMagazine.com and stay tuned!
