The G2E Asia is the single largest gaming industry trade event in Asia, both in terms of attendance as well as in terms of the exhibition floor space. The 2018 edition of the G2E Asia (Global Gaming Expo Asia) will kick off today, 15th May, and the Venetian Macau will play host to the event.
The international exhibition will take place between 15th and 17th May 2018, and an attendance of more than 15,000 local and international visitors has been estimated over the course of these three days. The exhibition floor spans 37,000 square meters and this is 30% more than what is was for G2E Asia 2017.
The first edition of this expo was held back in 2007 and this will be the 12th edition of the event which is set to play host to over 220 exhibitors. This event, which is Asia’s top gaming event, involves a wide variety of gamers and entertainers from different parts of the world gathered under a single roof.
The various exhibitors will get a chance to showcase their skills, products and services over the course of the next three days, to the potential buyers and customers present at the event who are expected to be from various businesses, professions and industries from around the world.
Chairman and CEO of Asian casino operator Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd, Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, gave the opening keynote address of the 2018 G2E Asia this morning. The conference is also expecting a 40% jump in visitors from Japan this year, with the passage of the Integrated Resorts (IR) Implementation Bill.
The event is jointly organised by the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions. “With one decade already under its belt, we are proud to have cultivated a show that now serves as a one-stop sourcing platform and annual gathering point for Asia’s casino operators and entertainment decision makers,” said Josephine Lee, COO of Reed Exhibitions Greater China.
