Like every weekend, this weekend too kicked off with some power packed poker tournaments. Friday night fever was really high with a pinch of excitement and a lot of action. With late night gameplay and prize pools in lakhs to be won, all the players showed off their poker skills to the fullest. Here’s what all Friday night had in store for the poker enthusiasts.:
Spartan Poker’s Elite, one of the highest GTD tournaments of the night, was undoubtedly filled with action and a nail biting game of poker. The event saw 260 entries and 132 rebuys. The guarantee of ₹35,00,000 was crushed as the final prize pool stood at ₹39,20,000. The top 39 places were paid out with a min-cash of ₹27,048.
The event was topped by unrevealed ‘GL1DE’, who shipped ₹7,85,960. The runner up, ‘AthenaVolt’ walked away with ₹5,22,536. Vishal Bajaj aka ‘CrownUpJr’ took home ₹3,82,200 by finishing third at the table. The table also had a WSOP bracelet winner Kartik Ved aka ‘TheInternetKid,’ who finished fourth at the event. GL1DE must have surely slogged it out on the virtual felts given the fact that WSOP bracelet winner Kartik Ved was also fighting for the top spot.
The Friday night routine at Adda52’s The Ballers was another action packed event. The event welcomed 360 entries. The prize pool of the event recorded ₹24,66,000 crushing the advertised guarantee of ₹22,50,000. The top 38 places took home a part of the prize pool who were paid a min-cash of ₹14,796.
Vaibhav Roy aka ‘vroy219’ shipped the event adding ₹6,16,500 to his bankroll. ‘Shooter19’ ended at the runner up spot taking home ₹3,73,599. IOPC winner Laksh Pal Singh aka ‘BoomTilt23’ finished third at the event adding ₹2,71,260 to his bankroll. Lakspal’s exceptional poker skills got him a place on the cover of Gutshot Magazine’s March 2021 E-magazine edition.
PokerBaazi’s The Weekly HighRoller clearly witnessed a high roll of action and gameplay. The Highroller attracted 98 players with 72 re-entries. The final prize pool stood at ₹17,00,000 surpassing the GTD of ₹12,00,000. The min-cash paid was ₹18,870 with the top 21 places paid.
Vaibhav Sharma aka ‘WakhraSwagNi’ topped the table taking home ₹4,23,000. The second spot was claimed by ‘Lucif3rr,’ who walked away with ₹2,96,000, and Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra walked with ₹1,91,000 at the third spot. The event also saw many poker pros taking a piece of the price pool pie.
The Friday night at Spartan Poker was on fire with two major events taking place. Futuristic with the advertised GTD of ₹10,00,000 was crushed by the final prize pool of ₹10,46,400. The event witnessed 1,308 entries out of which the top 110 places were paid out. The min-cash paid out at this event was ₹2,354.
Nirmal Sankhla aka ‘Varonir’ shipped the event. Sankhla added ₹1,97,142 to his bankroll. The second and third spot saw Nitin Rawat aka ‘NITINABD’ and ‘loosecannon’ walk away with ₹1,19,917 and ₹84,758 respectively.
