Yudhvir Singh Charak: The Rising LSG Sensation

Yudhvir Singh Charak starred for Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 clash against Punjab Kings. Making his debut for the newly formed IPL franchise, the bowler made an impressive start to his life in the competition by picking up two wickets in his first two overs of the tournament. His performance stood out in a star studded line up  resulting in the whole cricketing fraternity wanting to learn more about Yudhvir Singh Charak. Yudhvir Singh Charak Career 

Hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, Yudhvir Singh Charak is fast bowler who recently featured for the J&K team in the Indian domestic circuit. The tall seamer made his domestic debut for Hyderabad in a T20 clash during the 2019-20 season.

Later on he has gone on to play for his home state in the domestic circuit scene. So far, Yudhvir Singh has pocketed 13 wickets in 14 list-A matches, three wickets in four first-class games, and four wickets in T20 clashes before his IPL debut. The 25 year old has also been a part of the IPL setup for a few years now.

The 25-year-old got into the IPL and has been a part of the competition’s setup since 2020 when he started out as a net bowler for Mumbai Indians. Later on, he was picked by the Mumbai based franchise for 50 Lakh during the IPL 2021 auction.

However,  he did not get any chance to break into the starting lineup of Mumbai Indians and ended up leaving the team without getting a chance with the side. After not getting a chance to play, the pacer went on to join the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants after the side acquired his services for INR 20 lakhs in the IPL 2023 mini auction.

Yudhvir Singh Charak made his debut against Punjab Kings during IPL 2023. Kl Rahul handed him the ball over  English seamer Mark Wood to open the attack for LSG, who were defending a target of 159 runs. Singh shined in his first match and managed to dismissed fellow IPL debutant and PBKS opener Atharva Taide for a duck. He ended up conceding only one run in the over and also managed to get rid of Prabhsimran Singh in that game. to record figures of 2/20 on his debut. 

Following a solid performance against Punjab Kings at the IPL 2023, Yudhvir Singh will be keep to continue coming up with such outings for his side. KL Rahul will also be eager to see the speedster fight for a spot in the playing XI and aim f0r more chances in the future. It remains interesting to see if  the young seamer can continue to perform at the biggest stage on a consistent basis.
