Yashasvi Jaiswal has started to knock on the doors of the India A squad as well as the national team with the young batter shining in the Indian domestic circuit once again. The 20-year-old youngster has gone on to score a double century in the Duleep Trophy final against South Zone at the SNR College Cricket Ground, Coimbatore.

Playing for the West Zone, Yashasvi put up a stunning display filled with hard work and patience. Opening the innings with Prithvi Shaw, the young batter managed to bounce back in fantastic fashion in the second innings. Jaiswal was dismissed for just one run in the first innings with Cheepurapalli Stephen sending him back to the pavilion.
However, Yashasvi Jaiswal managed to get his act together in the second innings and reached the three-figure mark off the 41st over against Basil Thampi. The West Zone batter hit the short ball towards third man and got his much-awaited century.

He celebrated with a loud roar with his teammates giving the youngster a standing ovation for his fantastic innings. Jaiswal jumped and punched the air in delight as the ball raced towards the boundary rope and removed his helmet to soak in the applause. The opener later went on to celebrate reaching the milestone by smashing three back-to-back boundaries in the same over.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was dropped twice on 55 and 62 went on to register one of the finest knocks ever played in the history of Duleep Trophy. The 20 year old youngster did not look back after getting a few reprieves and went on to score a double hundred in the Duleep trophy 2022 final.
The Mumbai based batter thumped his chest in absolute delight while the dressing room gave the batter a standing ovation alongside a thunderous applause. Yashasvi showed great maturity and played according to the situation while forming vital partnerships for the West Zone.
His partnership with the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Sarfaraz Khan helped the side end the day with a massive lead of 319 against their name. Yashasvi Jaiswal, on the other end, remains not out on 209 from 244 balls with his knock consisting of 23 boundaries and three sixes.
