According to the reports, Lata Mondal was involved in a match fixing scandal with Shohley Akhtar. Luckily Mondal was dropped against Australia and Bangladesh lost that game by eight wicket. Lata in her statement said that she was not intrested in this offer and had not done this as well. BCB are looking into the matter and if found guilty it could lead to her suspension. 

To combat match-fixing in women’s cricket, there needs to be increased awareness of the issue and greater sports transparency.
