The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2024) is ready to kick off on February 23, 2024. Fans are excited for the tournament after a successful first edition. WPL 2024 will feature five teams like the first edition. The teams participating are Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriorz, and Gujarat Giants.
The inaugural WPL title was won by Mumbai Indians. They will be hoping to retain the title and win back-to-back WPL titles. While Delhi Capitals edged out Mumbai Indians to the first place in the group stage, it was Mumbai Indians who had the last laugh. They managed to beat UP Warriorz in the playoff and reached the final. Nat Sciver-Brunt’s 60 not out helped the Indians chase the score and win the first edition of Women’s Premier League.

While the first edition of the Women’s Premier League was held in Mumbai, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to expand the league to other cities for WPL 2024. The tournament will be held in Bangalore and Delhi. The first half of the tournament will take place in the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore before moving to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi for the final 11 games.
The tickets for the first half of the tournament are now out. The tickets can be purchased online on BookMyShow via BookMyShow app and website. To encourage more people to go for the Women’s Premier League matches and to build a loyal fan base, BCCI have kept the prices at a very basic price of ₹100 per ticket. Tickets to each stand are available at the same cost of ₹100 for the Bangalore matches. This is a very good gesture by the board, and it will help increase the attendance at this fairly new tournament.
To book tickets for WPL 2024, you can follow these steps:
1. Visit the BookMyShow website or open the BookMyShow app
2. Select the match you want to attend and the number of tickets you wish to purchase.
3. Provide your contact information and payment details.
4. Click on the “Book Tickets” button.
No physical ticket is needed to gain entry to the stadium for the Women’s Premier League. This makes the process of buying tickets even easier. All you need to do is find the game you want to go for, select your stand and make the payment. Upon completing the payment, an E ticket will be sent to your Email which can be used to enter the stadium.
