Indian pacers in Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, and Shardul Thakur with Ravichandran Ashwin, Hanuma Vihari, and KS Bharat were also seen sharing a few smiles and posing for the cameras before their flight to London. The national team head coach Rahul Dravid is all set to join the team following the completion of South Africa’s ongoing tour to India while his a few members of the coaching staff joined Sharma and co to England.
The Indian team will travel to Leicester where they are scheduled to play a warm-up match against Leicestershire. The four-day practice game will be played from 24th June and will act as the perfect platform for the Men in Blue to find some form ahead of their Test match.
Back in 2021, India had to leave their tour to England without playing the one Test because of a Covid-19 outbreak. They are all set to complete the series during this tour with the final Test match scheduled to be played between 1 – 5th July.

Rohit Sharma is all set to take charge of the team and will be keen on performing well. The Indian Test team captain will open the innings with Gill, given KL Rahul’s injury. Sharma is also expected to rely on Pujara to get back to his brilliant best during the five-day encounter.
The Saurashtra-based star scored a ton of runs during his recent county stint at Sussex after being dropped from the Test side, earlier this year. Kohli will slot behind Pujara at his usual number 4 spot with Vihari likely to find a berth on the team sheet. It would not be a surprise if Iyer gets the nod over Vihari given his magnificent outing against Sri Lanka in the previous Test match. Ashwin will battle Jadeja for a spot on the team with Thakur set to join the three ponged pace attack of Shami, Bumrah, and Siraj.
