Legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar has taken the internet by storm and turned the clock back at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. He may have retired from the game nearly 9 years ago, but his ability to demolish bowlers and score more has not diminished at any level.
The 49-year-old is currently taking part in the ongoing Road Safety World Series 2022. Captaining the India Legends against England Legends, Tendulkar gave his team a flying start on Thursday, 22nd September. The Master Blaster smashed 40 off just 20 balls with his knock including 3 fours and 3 sixes. Ending his innings with a strike rate of 200, Sachin Tendulkar played some extra-ordinary shots during his stay at the crease.

The former India captain started off the carnage with a textbook four against Stephen Parry across the backward square-leg region before hitting Chris Tremlett for two sixes, and a four in the third over. Later on, Sachin Tendulkar attacked Rikki Clarke and it seemed that the Indian opener would reach his half-century, in no time. However, Chris Schofield got rid of the danger man with a simple catch and bowled in the seventh over.
Fans were shocked with Sachin’s stroke play at the age of 49 with many fans even jokingly going out of their way to claim how the former cricketer should be roped in by the Indian national team as a back-up opener for the ICC the T20 World Cup. Tendulkar gave a glimpse of his best at Dehradun as India legends went on to register a massive 40-run win against England Legends.
