VIRAL VIDEO: Sunil Chhetri Pushed Away By WB Governor

Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC celebrated adding the one Indian football trophy that they eagerly were set out to win on Sunday. They went on to record a massive 2-1 win over Mumbai City FC at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata and walk away with the prestigious Durand Cup. The win in Kolkata now sees the Sunil Chhetri led side complete the set of winning all trophies having previously won the I-League, Federation Cup , Super Cup as well as the Indian Super League.

The Durand Cup final went viral on social media after Bengaluru FC captain Sunil Chhetri was pushed away by the Governor of West Bengal, La. Ganesan Iyer. The incident took place during the post-match presentation ceremony where La. Ganesan was seen standing slightly behind Sunil Chhetri when he was handed over the trophy.

While smiling for the cameras, the Governor of West Bengal was spotted pushing the 38 year old away from the middle and posing with the trophy for the photograph. Indian football fans raged on social media following the actions of the West Bengal governor towards Sunil Chhetri and slammed the minister for his behavior.
