Uttar Pradesh Player Wins ₹4 Crore On Dream11

A man from Uttar Pradesh, Mangal Prasad, reportedly managed to win ₹4 Crore on the fantasy sports app, Dream11. Dream11 offers rewards of ₹3-₹4 Crore every day, especially when big leagues like the Indian Premier League are taking place. However, many people have doubts as to whether common players actually win these competitions or only Dream11 employees or other people promoting the app actually win the mega contest award. This article talks about an Uttar Pradesh Dream11 player managing to get his hands on a ₹4 Crore reward after winning the Dream11 mega contest during the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League.

According to reports, a 31-year-old Dream11 player from Uttar Pradesh, Mangal Prasad, managed to win ₹4 Crore on the fantasy sports platform. He participated in the mega contest on the app during the Indian Premier League game between the Punjab Kings and the Chennai Super Kings on 29th April 2025. Prasad is a school dropout from Kaushambi district who works at a plywood factory in Hapur. He had been entering the ₹49 mega contests but decided to enter the ₹39 mega contest during the game between the Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings to try and finish in the number one spot and win ₹4 Crore.

Mangal Prasad managed to win the contest, getting his hands on a reward worth ₹4 Crore. After tax deductions, which will see 30% of the reward being cut as tax, Prasad will receive ₹2.8 Crore as pure winnings. The news has drawn massive attention on social media, with many users reacting to the unexpected success. This win has also made him widely known in his native village, Ghasi Ram Purwa. This is a huge win for Prasad, who is one of eight siblings, married, and has three children. He had been trying his luck on Dream11 for several months before winning. He said, “I used to lose often but kept trying,” in a video which has gone viral.

Seeing people win such exuberant amounts on a fantasy sports platform like Dream11 will inspire more people in India to try their luck on such platforms. However, it is important to note that this is not a career path and alongside his knowledge and skill, Prasad also needed a good amount of luck to finish 1st in the contest and win the reward of ₹4 Crore. While playing on fantasy sports platforms like Dream11 is not something that is too risky, no user should gamble away their savings in hopes of pulling off a miracle like winning the ₹4 Crore reward. This is not something that is easy to achieve, and one should be aware of all the risks.
