He continued this form into the ICC Under-19 World Cup. Saharan led from the front and ended up being the highest run-getter at the World Cup. He scored 397 runs in seven innings at an average of 56.71. He helped guide India to the final, where they lost to Australia. While India could not win the tournament, Saharan’s performances caught the attention of Indian fans.
