Pakistan skipper Babar Azam won the toss in the 2nd Asia Cup clash and decided to bowl first. India, headed into the game after making three changes to the playing XI with Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda and Ravi Bishnoi starting the second encounter against their archrivals.
KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma gave the 2011 World Cup champions a flying start before Haris Rauf claimed the wicket of Indian skipper at the end of the powerplay. Shadab Khan got the better of KL Rahul for 28 while Suryakumar Yadav was sent back to the hut by Mohammad Nawaz at the halfway stage of the innings.
Rishabh Pant failed to rise up to the occasion and was played a silly shot to walk back in the after scoring just 14 runs from 12 balls. Hardik Pandya, who was the match winner in the previous clash between two sides was dismissed for a duck this time around.
While Deepak Hooda tried to get going by scoring 16 runs off 14 balls. It was the former Indian skipper Virat Kohli who stole the limelight once again. The 33-year-old registered an incredible 60 runs off 44 balls, before losing his wicket in the final over. Two consecutive fours by Ravi Bishnoi on the last two balls of the innings saw India end their innings with the score board 181/7.
