The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of if not the best domestic cricket leagues in the world. Some of the best bowlers around the world participate in this competition. The league was founded in 2008 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It started with eight teams but has now expanded to a 10-team format. Mark Wood achieved some of the best figures in Indian Premier League history on 1st April 2023 in a game between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. He picked up five wickets and conceded just 14 runs in his four overs. Wood picked up the wickets of Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Sarfaraz Khan, Axar Patel, and Chetan Sakariya. LSG ended up winning the game by 50 runs.

Ankit Rajpoot bowled a spectacular spell against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 26th April 2018. He picked up a fifer and conceded only 14 runs. Rajpoot picked up the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson, Wriddhiman Saha, Manish Pandey, and Mohammad Nabi to help Kings XI Punjab get their opposition out for 132 runs. However, KXIP were unable to chase the total down and ended up losing the game despite the heroics of Ankit Rajpoot.

Lasith Malinga is one of the best bowlers the IPL has ever seen, and it comes as no surprise to see him on this list. The Sri Lankan pacer achieved figures of 5/13 against Delhi Daredevils on 10th April 2011. He did so by picking up the wickets of David Warner, Unmukt Chand, Venugopal Rao, Morne Morkel, and Ashok Dinda. He put Mumbai Indians in a spectacular position at the end of the first innings and they ended up winning the game by eight wickets.

Ishant Sharma took one of the best fifers in IPL history on 27th April 2011 against Kochi Tuskers Kerala while representing the Deccan Chargers. He picked up five wickets while conceding just 12 runs in his three overs. Sharma picked up the wickets of Mahela Jayawardene, Parthiv Patel, Raiphi Gomez, Brad Hodge, and Kedar Jadhav. This performance helped his team win by a comfortable margin of 55 runs.

Mohit Sharma picked up five wickets while conceding only 10 runs in a game against Mumbai Indians on 26th May 2023. He picked up the wickets of Suryakumar Yadav, Vishnu Vinod, Chris Jordan, Piyush Chawla, and Kumar Karthikeya. The Indian pacer bowled only 2.2 overs but picked up five wickets and helped Gujarat Titans bowl out the Mumbai Indians and win the match by 62 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah put in one of his best ever performance in the Indian Premier League on 9th May 2022 against Kolkata Knight Riders. He conceded just 10 runs while picking up five wickets including those of Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Sheldon Jackson, Pat Cummins, and Sunil Narine. While he helped MI restrict their opponents to 165 runs, they were unable to chase down the score and ended up losing by 52 runs.

Anil Kumble picked up a fifer while conceding just five runs in 3.1 overs in a game against Rajasthan Royals on 18th April 2009 in the IPL. He picked up the wickets of Yusuf Pahan, Ravindra Jadeja, Shane Warne, Munaf Patel, and Kamran Khan. He helped Royal Challengers Bangalore get Rajasthan Royals all-out for just 58 runs and helped his team win by a huge margin of 75 runs.

Akash Madhwal put in one of the best IPL figures ever in the 2023 season. He picked up five wickets and conceded just five runs in a game between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants on 24th May 2024. Madhwal picked up the wickets of Prerak Mankad, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, and Mohsin Khan to help Mumbai Indians bowl them out for just 101 runs and win by a margin of 81 runs.

Adam Zampa is the first person on this list to have picked up six wickets in IPL. He did this against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 10th May 2016 while representing Rising Pune Supergiant. Zampa picked the wickets of Kane Williamson, Yuvraj Singh, Moises Henriques, Deepak Hooda, Naman Ojha, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He did so while conceding just 19 runs, but despite his heroics, RPS ended up losing the game by four runs.

Sohail Tanvir helped his IPL side, Rajasthan Royals, demolish Chennai Super Kings on 4th May 2008 and became the first-ever player to pick up six wickets in IPL history. He conceded just 14 runs while picking up the wickets of Parthiv Patel, Stephen Fleming, Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan, Albie Morkel, Muthiah Muralidaran, and Makhaya Ntini. His heroics helped RR bowl CSK out for just 109 runs, and they managed to chase it down very easily, winning the game with eight wickets in hand.

Alzarri Joseph delivered the best ever bowling figures in IPL history on 6th April 2019 against Sunrisers Hyderabad while representing Mumbai Indians. Joseph conceded just 12 runs in 3.4 overs and picked up six wickets including those of David Warner, Vijay Shankar, Deepak Hooda, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Siddarth Kaul. This performance helped Mumbai Indians defend a low score of 136 and they ended up winning the game by 40 runs.
