Luis Diaz is one of the only two players on this list who is still an active footballer. He started playing for the Colombian national football team in 2018 and has continued to represent them till the present day. He has scored 16 goals for them in 61 appearances as of now, putting his goals-per-game ratio at 0.27. Luis Diaz represented Barranquilla, Atletico Junior, and Porto in the past and currently plays for Premier League side Liverpool. Diaz is still just 28 years old and has quite some time left in his career. It will not be surprising if he ends up rising even higher on the list before retiring from international football.
Carlos Bacca played for Colombia from 2010 to 2018, scoring 16 goals in 52 appearances at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.31. The Colombian star made his international debut on 11th August 2010 and managed to score on his debut. Freddy Rincon is regarded as one of the greatest Colombian legends. He made 84 appearances for them, scoring 17 goals. Faustino Asprilla played for various clubs, including Atletico Nacional, Newcastle United, Palmeiras, Fluminense, and Parma. He was a fantastic striker who won trophies at various clubs like the Categoria Primera A with Nacional, the Coppa Italia with Parma, and the Copa dos Campeoes with Palmeiras. His international career spanned from 1993 to 2001. He scored 20 goals for them in 57 appearances, ending with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.35.
Arnoldo Iguaran is one of the top three goal scorers in the history of the Colombian football team. He represented them from 1979 to 1993, scoring 25 goals in 68 appearances. Iguaran spent the majority of his career representing the Colombian football club Millonarios F.C., making 258 appearances for them in all competitions and scoring 88 goals. James Rodriguez is regarded as one of the best Colombian players in history, which is why it is not shocking to see him so high on this list. Rodriguez is the second and final player on this list who is still an active player. He made his international debut in 2011 and still continues to represent the Colombian football team. He has made a total of 112 appearances and scored 29 goals at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.26. James Rodriguez has played for some very prestigious clubs in his career, including the likes of Porto, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
Radamel Falcao is regarded as one of the best strikers of all time and was known for his impressive finishing skills. He represented the Colombian national football team from 2007 to 2023 and scored 36 goals in 104 appearances at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.35. Falcao has played for a plethora of domestic clubs, including Rover Plate, Porto, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, and Chelsea.
