9. Raymond Braine -26 Goals

Raymond Braine played for the Belgian football team from 1925 to 1939. He scored 26 goals for his country in 55 appearances, ending his career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.47. The football star represented three clubs throughout his domestic career, all of them being Belgian clubs. He played for Beerschot VAC, Sparta Prague, and La Forestoise in his domestic career, playing as a brilliant striker for every team he represented.

9. Robert De Veen – 26 Goals

Robert De Veen is one of the highest goal scorers in Belgium’s history despite playing very few games for them throughout his career. He played for them from 1906 to 1913, scoring 26 goals in 23 appearances. The football star ended his international career with a goals-per-game ratio of 1.13, the highest of anyone on this list. De Veen played for just one club, Club Brugge, in his entire domestic career and scored 256 goals in 196 appearances for them.

7. Joseph Mermans – 27 Goals

Joseph Mermans is regarded as one of the best strikers in Belgium’s history. Widely known as Jef, the Belgian star represented his country from 1945 to 1956 and made 56 appearances for them while scoring 27 goals at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.48. Mermans played for three clubs in his club career, namely Tubantia FAC, Anderlecht, and Merksem SC. However, most of his domestic career was spent while playing for Anderlecht, for whom he scored 339 goals in 382 appearances.

7. Michy Batshuayi – 27 Goals

Michy Batshuayi is a Belgian striker and one of the only three players on this list who are still active footballers. He has been playing for the Belgium football team since 2015 and has scored 27 goals for his country in 55 games to date at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.49. Batshuayi has played for a plethora of clubs in his domestic career, including Marseille, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Crystal Palace, Besiktas, Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray.

6. Marc Wilmots – 28 Goals

Marc Wilmots is a Belgian legend who played as an attacking midfielder for the Belgian football team. He represented his country from 1990 to 2002, making 70 appearances for them while scoring 28 goals at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.40. This makes him one of the highest goal-scorers in Belgium’s history. The Belgian represented several teams during his domestic career, including  Standard Liege, Schalke 04, and Bordeaux.

3. Kevin De Bruyne – 30 Goals

Kevin De Bruyne is one of the greatest footballers in Belgium’s history. The midfielder is the second active footballer on this list and has represented his country since 2010. He has played 107 games for them while scoring 30 goals, putting his goals-per-game ratio at 0.28. De Bruyne has played for five clubs throughout his domestic career, including Genk, Chelsea, Werder Bremen, VfL Wolfsburg, and Manchester City. The Belgian star is widely considered to be one of the best passers that football has ever seen, and he gained most of his recognition and global acclaim while playing for Manchester City in the Premier League.

3. Paul Van Himst – 30 Goals

Paul Van Himst is a Belgian forward who represented his country from 1960 to 1974. He made a total of 81 appearances for them and scored 30 goals in the process, which puts his goals-per-game ratio at 0.37. He is tied with Kevin De Bruyne and Bernard Voorhoof for the third-most goals scored for the Belgian football team. The talented Belgian played for three teams in his domestic career, donning the jerseys of Anderlecht, Molenbeek, and Eendracht Aalst.

3. Bernard Voorhoof – 30 Goals

Bernard Voorhoof is the third Belgian star on this list, with 30 goals in his name. He represented the Belgium football team from 1928 to 1940 and was Belgium’s most-capped player and highest goal scorer at one point. He played 61 games for them and scored 30 goals, ending his international career with a goals-per-game ratio of 0.49. Bernard Voorhoof played for RRFC Montegnee from 1948 to 1949, but almost the entirety of his club career was spent representing the Belgian football club Lierse.

2. Eden Hazard – 33 Goals

Eden Hazard is a Belgian star who is regarded as one of the best wingers of all time. He played for his country from 2008 to 2022 and made 126 appearances while scoring 33 goals at a goals-per-game ratio of 0.26. Hazard played for three clubs in his career, namely Lille, Chelsea, and Real Madrid. While Madrid is considered to be one of the biggest clubs in the world, Hazard’s peak came at Chelsea before he joined Madrid, and he was never able to replicate the form he had for Chelsea while playing for the Los Blancos.
