Stuart Broad now holds the record for conceding the most number of runs in an over of a Test match. The 36-year-old ended up conceding 35 runs in his 18th over during the one-off Test match against India at Edgbaston. Broad now has the record of conceding the most runs in 2 formats of the game.
His record in T20I’s came famously back in 2007 against India when Yuvraj Singh smashed him for 6 consecutive sixes at the inaugural ICC T20 World Cup at Duraban in 2007. The Test record came against Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah, who did the damage against the English pacer managing to add 35 runs on India’s score board in the 84th over of their innings.

The first ball saw India’s no 10 batter edge the short ball as it nearly sailed all the way over the fine leg rope. The ball escaped Jack Crawley’s hand, going through them, as the carnage began. The second delivery was dropped quite short as it flew over Bumrah. Sam Billings failed to reach it, adding 5 wides to the scoreboard.
The 36 year old pacer continued with the short ball while overstepping with Bumrh hitting it all the way down for a six. Stuart Broad had to bowl the second ball of the over was thrice after the no ball as he attempted a yoker but bowled a juicy full toss instead. The Indian skipper ended up hitting it for a boundary over mid-on.
