SL Vs Ind MPL Team Prediction: The third T20 International match of the three-match series between India and Sri Lanka will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on the 29 July 2021. The 2nd T20 was earlier scheduled to be played on Tuesday ( 27 July), but after Krunal Pandya’s COVID-19 positive update, the match was postponed for a day. Pandya has been out of both the remaining T20 International matches and now the question is who will get his place in the team.
Krishnappa Gowtham made his international debut with the last match of the three-match ODI series on the Sri Lanka tour and now it is believed that he will play in the T20 International as well. The COVID-19 test of those eight people who came in close contact with Pandya came back negative. Due to which all the other players of the team will be available for selection.
Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav have been selected as replacement players for the England Test series and both will leave for England after the T20 series. Under Sri Lanka’s medical security protocol, Pandya will not be able to return home with the rest of the Indian team on 30 July. They will have to wait for a negative RT PCR test result after completing mandatory isolation.
The third and final T20 match will be held on Thursday (29 July). A source in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said, “Symptoms have been found in Krunal. He has a cough and sore throat. He is out of the series and will not be able to return with the rest of the members. The good news is that the reports of all the people who came in his close contact have come negative.’
In the absence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, a 20-man team under the captaincy of Shikhar Dhawan and four standby net bowlers have come on the Sri Lanka tour. India won the first match of the series by 38 runs and are 1-0 up in the series. In such a situation, India’s eyes will be on winning this match and taking an unassailable lead in the series. Apart from Krishnappa Gautam in place of Pandya, team India hardly wants to tamper with their winning combination.

In the ODI, we have witnessed that, it is not easy to defy a spinner when it is spinning. The spinner is getting a lot of spins and the average score for one inning at this venue is 158, and batting first is still a good option.
