Shubman Gill Is The New Spiderman?

Shubman Gill has added a new feather to his cap with the batter all set to lend his voice for Spider Man. Yes you read it right, the star batsman will be the voice for Spider Man in the new movie titled Spider Man: Across The Spider Verse.

Sony Pictures India shared a post on their official social media handle, releasing a special announcement video that featured Shubman Gill. It goes on to reveal how there will be an Spider Man called Pavitr Prabhakar in the Indian version of Spider Man Across The Spider Verse.

It will feature the first-ever Indian Spider-Man with Shubman Gill dubbing for the Hindi and Punjabi versions of the Spider-Man. With this new role, the cricketer has gone on to become the first ever Indian sports star to dub for a Hollywood franchise movie.

Shubhman Gill took to Instagram and shared his excitement on lending his voice for a super hero. He wrote, “Thrilled to give my voice for the Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar in Spider-Man: Across the #SpiderVerse. Trailer dropping soon! Get ready for some web-slinging action. ”

He was also quoted by the Telegraph stating, “I have grown up watching Spider-Man, and he is one of the most relatable superheroes. Since the movie will be debuting the Indian Spider-Man for the first time on screen, getting to be the voice of our Indian Spider-Man in the Hindi and Punjabi versions was such a remarkable experience for me. I already feel superhuman. I am eagerly anticipating the release of this movie.”

The upcoming movie, Spider Man: Across The Spider Verse is all set be in 10 languages in India. The languages include English, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, with Subhman Gill dubbing for the Hindi and Punjabi versions. The trailer of this movie will be out on 2nd June 2023!
