Shoaib Akhtar’s Audacity To Call India A Losing Team Is BULLSH*T: Pakistan suffered a massive upset in their previous Group 2 match of the ongoing Super 12 stages of the T20 World Cup as Zimbabwe recorded a 1-run win over the 2009 Champions in the last ball thriller at the Perth Stadium on Thursday. The loss saw Babar Azam’s side face a lot of criticism from fans and experts.
Many former cricketers who featured for the Men in Green have not shied away from speaking their minds on the teams’ back-to-back losses in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Citing the current scenario in Group 2, Pakistan is virtually knocked out of making it to the semifinal of the tournament. They will need to have a lot of equations go their way to break into the final four.
Just like Wasim Akram, Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar expressed his thoughts following the defeat to Zimbabwe. The former Pakistan speedster said his countrymen would exit from the tournament after the Super 12 stages. He has also gone on to make a bold statement claiming that India will not win the tournament and lose in the semifinals of the ICC T20 World Cup.
The 47-year-old was critical of Pakistan’s loss in Perth. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Shoaib Akhtar said, “I had already told Pakistan that they will come back this week. India will come back next week after playing in the semifinal. Voh bhi koi Tees Maar Khan nahi hai and we are even worse.”
Shoaib Akhtar predicts that India will also return home after the semis since they are also not that good (or as he says ‘Tees Maar Khan’). pic.twitter.com/zj5BFnjXYI

Shoaib Akhtar also went on to question the team selections, as Shan Masood was preferred over Fakhar Zaman for the first two games of the tournament. He also raised issues about Pakistan’s middle order while sharing that Babar Azam might not a good captain.
After the first two games, Pakistan finds itself looking to win all of its remaining matches while also hoping that India also wins their games in order to qualify for the semifinal. The Rohit Sharma-led side is currently at the top of Group 2 following their exploits against the Netherlands and Pakistan in the tournament. They are set to play South Africa in their upcoming clash on Sunday.
