Shahid Afridi Tests Positive For COVID-19 Amid PSL 2022: Former Pakistan captain and all-around Quetta Gladiator Shahid Afridi have tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday. After a seven-day quarantine and negative test, the star player will be quarantined at home following Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regulations and reintegrated into the team.
Afridi went to the hospital on Wednesday after getting the team’s management permission. The all-rounder said he would complete the required three-day quarantine period, after which he will join the team.
Due to personal and health concerns, he had asked franchise management to exempt him from the biosecurity bubble. A source familiar with the matter earlier told us that Afridi told management he was suffering from back pain, and one of his wife’s relatives had died.
