Durban’s Super Giants played against the Paarl Royals in the SA20 group stages on 27th January 2025. DSG batted first and managed to make 143 runs in 20 overs thanks to performances by Kane Williamson (45 runs in 36 balls) and Marcus Stoinis (55 runs in 40 balls). While it felt like Paarl Royals would be able to chase the score down easily, they had to slow down a lot after losing Joe Root on the first ball. This caused the game to go down to the wire, but performances by Lhuan-dre Pretorius (43 runs in 29 balls) and Rubin Hermann (59 runs in 51 balls) saw PR win the game in the second last ball.
Pretoria Capitals dominated the Joburg Super Kings when they faced each other in the SA20 on 28th January 2025. Joburg Super Kings batted first, but no one on the team seemed to get going. Migael Pretorious, Senuran Muthusamy, and Gideon Peters picked up seven wickers amongst themselves to restrict the Super Kings to a score of just 99/9. Jonny Bairstow ended as the top scorer of the Super Kings, having made 30 runs in 32 balls. The Pretoria Capitals chased the score down in just 12 overs thanks to the performance of Marques Ackerman, who scored 39 runs in 22 balls.

New boy in the town. Scored a glorious fifty with 6 maximums & 4 hits to the fence. Made his presence felt only in his second game playing for MI Cape Town. This is just the beginning. Sky is the limit. #MICTvPC #SA20 #SediqullahAtal #SediqStorm 🇦🇫 🏏
