Joburg Super Kings Vs Paarl Royals (MD15 – 20/01/2025)

Joburg Super Kings batted first against the Paarl Royals on 20th January 2025 in the SA20 2025. Jonny Bairstow ended up being their best player and scored 60 runs in 40 balls at a strike rate of 150 to help his team reach a total of 146. The game between MI Cape Town and Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20 2025, which took place on 21st January 2025, was abandoned without a result. MI Cape Town batted first and managed to make 69 runs in 11 overs while losing three wickets before rain interrupted play. After nearly a two-hour wait, the inevitable happened, as the umpires called off the match without a result.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Vs Pretoria Capitals (MD17 – 22/01/2025)

The Sunrisers Eastern Cape faced the Pretoria Capitals on 22nd January 2025. The Capitals had an incredible start, picking up the wickets of Zak Crawley, David Bedingham, Tom Abell, and Jordan Hermann. However, Aiden Markram managed to steady the ship and scored 68 runs in 55 balls to help his team set a decent target of 150 for the Pretoria Capitals to chase. It looked like PC would be able to chase this target down easily, but brilliant bowling by Marco Jansen and Liam Dawson saw the Pretoria Capitals get bowled out for just 97 runs.

Durban’s Super Giants Vs Paarl Royals (MD18 – 23/01/2025)

Durban’s Super Giants batted first against the Paarl Royals in Match Day 18 of the SA20 2025 league on 23rd January 2025. Decent performances by Quinton de Kock, Matthew Breetzke, Wiaan Mulder, and JJ Smuts helped DSG reach a total of 142. This was quite a low score, and Paarl Royals managed to chase it down in just 17.3 overs, thanks to performances by Rubin Hermann and Mitchell Van Buuren.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Vs Joburg Super Kings (MD19 – 24/01/2025)

Sunrisers Eastern Cape scored 165 runs in the game against Joburg Super Kings on 24th January 2025, thanks to good performances by David Bedingham, Aiden Markram, and Tristan Stubbs. Joburg Kings started out well but lost wickets and slowed down considerably. This led to them being able to make only 151 runs in 20 overs, and Sunrisers Eastern Cape ended up winning the game by a margin of 14 runs.

Paarl Royals Vs Pretoria Capitals (MD20 – 24/01/2025)

Paarl Royals batted first against the Pretorial Capitals on 24th January 2025 in the SA20 2025. Lhuan-dre Pretorius was dismissed for a duck, and while the Royals lost multiple wickets, Joe Root scored 78 runs in 56 balls at a strike rate of 139.29 without losing his wicket. This, alongside David Miller’s 29 runs in 18 balls, helped the Paarl Royals reach a score of 140. This ended up being too much for the Pretoria Capitals to chase down, and PR was able to restrict PC to just 129 runs, which won by a margin of 11 runs.

Durban’s Super Giants Vs MI Cape Town (MD21 – 25/01/2025)

The game between Durban’s Super Giants and MI Cape Town in the SA20 2025 saw a brilliant chase go down. Durban’s Super Giants batted first, and while most of the team was unable to score at all, two players stood out. Kane Williamson (56 runs in 44 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen (66 runs in 43 balls) helped their team set a target of 150 for the MI Cape Town to chase. Ryan Rickelton was the standout player for the MI Cape Town, and help from Rassie van der Dussen, Dewald Brevis, and George Linde saw the MI Cape Town chase this score down quite easily in just 14.5 overs.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape Vs Joburg Super Kings (MD22 – 25/01/2025)

The last game to take place in SA20 2025 last week was the game between the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Joburg Super Kings on 25th January 2025. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape batted first, but a shocking eight players got out on a score of one or lesser (five ducks, three ones). David Bedingham, Tristan Stubbs, and Marco Jansen tried their best to salvage this inning and helped their team reach 118. The Joburg Super Kings chased this down very easily in just 14 overs with the help of Devon Conway (76 runs in 56 balls), Faf du Plessis (15 runs in 11 balls), and Wihan Lubbe (25 runs in 17 balls).
