The Pakistan cricket team emerged victorious against India in their second clash at Asia Cup 2022. The Super 4’ stage clash saw Babar Azam’s side get the better of Rohit Sharma’s men at the Dubai International stadium on 4th September.
Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started off well but failed to get going after the power players overs. The middle order of Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya failed while Virat Kohli held the innings together. The 33-year-old scored 60 in 44 balls while Ravi Bishnoi’s two fours saw India reach 181/7 in 20 overs.
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma spoke with the media during the post-match conference and shared his thoughts on the game. The 35-year-old went on to claim how the partnership between Rizwan and Nawaz helped the Men in Green cruise to victory. He also went on to reveal that the wicket of 2 Indian batters went in vain during the first innings. His reaction during the dressing room discussions has gone viral on social media.
After the game, Rohit Sharma said, “Virat getting that score was crucial from the team’s point of view. Wickets of Hardik and Rishabh were not needed at that time. But we want to play with an open mindset. While taking that approach you’ll not always have success.“

😄 #AsiaCupT20 #AsiaCup2022 #IndianCricketTeam #IndiaVsPak #IndiaVsPakistan #AsiaCup #India #PakistanVsIndia pic.twitter.com/Pp0Vc4Nw3O

Babar Azam’s side registered a 5-wicket victory to end India’s unbeaten run in the Asia Cup tournament.
