Internet Breaks As Robin Uthappa Announced His Retirement: Considered one of the best, the right-handed batsman, on 14th September 2022, i.e., today, announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Uthappa is a great servant of the game and has proved his worth whenever he gets an opportunity.

It has been my greatest honour to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket.

Uthappa last played for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League, where the veteran once again showed why he is the most dangerous batter in T20 cricket. Representing India in 46 ODIs, the veteran had scored 934 runs with the highest score of 86. Well, when it comes to IPL, Uthappa’s IPL stats are tremendous. The legendary wicketkeeper-batsman had played 205 IPL games, smashing 4,952 runs with a strike rate of 130.35. 

One cannot deny that lack of opportunities ended his career. Another cricketer records himself in the list of unsung heroes, where his contribution to team India and cricket was forgotten.
