Rishabh Pant Trolled After Posing With The New Indian Kit

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant posed donning the newly launched Team India jersey after the official unveiling this week. The 24-year-old shared a picture of him in the brand-new kit on Monday. The new jersey is all set to be worn on the field by the Men in Blue for the first-time during India’s upcoming T20 series against Australia.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and MPL Sport, the official kit sponsors Termed it as ‘One Blue Jersey’ with both the Indian men’s and women’s teams set to wear them for the upcoming T20I matches. It is all set to replace the previous jersey named “Billion Cheers’ in all the shortest format of the games with the previous kit continued to be worn while playing the One Day internationals (ODI).

Taking to Twitter, Rishabh Pant shared his pictures in the new Team India jersey before India’s series opener. Asking for fans’ opinion, Pant wrote, “How is our new jersey? I loved it.”

As soon as Risabh Pant shared this post on Twitter, Indian cricket team fans started to troll the wicket keeper batter on social media. He has been under the radar for is poor performances in the shortest format of the game. Questions have been raised over his spot in the team, with many believing that Pant should not a part of the playing XI in T20Is while many doubted his selection in the 15 man squad for the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.

Rishabh Pant was dropped as India’s first-choice wicket-keeper at the Asia Cup with Dinesh Karthik starting over him. After a poor outing at the 6 nation tournament, the Delhi based star will be aiming to make a fresh start in the upcoming T20I series against Australia.
