Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is not expected to recover in time and will reportedly miss the highly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. The 33-year-old star has recently gone under the knife and had a surgery in Mumbai which ruled him out of the Asia Cup 2022.
Latest reports have shed some light on Ravindra Jadeja’s injury with the player said to sustain it while during an adventure activity. According to rumours, the Indian cricket team management was left frustrated by Jadeja’s actions following the game against Hong Kong at the Asia Cup 2022.
It is believed that the Saurashtra based star was doing some water-based training activity in Dubai where he slipped and twisted his knee. According to Times of India the injury required surgery which is rumored to have ruled the player out of participating in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Times of India has quoted sources that know of developments about the incident who said, “Ravindra Jadeja had to balance himself on some kind of a ski-board as an adventure activity – not part of the training manual at all. It was absolutely unnecessary. He slipped and twisted his knee badly, which led to a surgery.”

Despite all the rumors, there has been no official statement released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on the flamboyant southpaw injury. However, some of the BCCI officials are understood to be fuming over the incident with questions also being raised about the behind the scenes events leading to the all-rounder’s injury.
The report further goes on to state that India cricket teams’ head coach Rahul Dravid has not ‘not lost his cool’. The ex-cricketer is rumored to have remained calm over the situation. Unlike often done in such a scenario, Dravid is yet to have launched an inquiry regarding the entire fiasco and agreed to the fact that the Men in Blue will be without the all-rounder’s services at the upcoming mega ICC event in Australia.
“What’s surprising here is, Head Coach Rahul Dravid hasn’t ‘lost his cool’ given how the injury. Ideally, one would have expected Dravid to question this entire process. All said, the bottomline is – India will travel to Australia without Ravindra Jadeja,” sources added.
