Ravichandran Ashwin has officially announced his retirement from international cricket after representing the Indian cricket team for 15 years. He made his international debut for the Men in Blue on 12th June 2010 in a Twenty20 International game against Zimbabwe and has never looked back since. The Indian all-rounder has since had a stellar international career, building a name for himself as one of the most consistent and dangerous spinners of all time.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s last Twenty20 International (T20I) game came on 10th November 2022 against England, and his last One Day International (ODI) game came on 8th October 2023 against Australia. The test format was the last format of the game Ashwin had not retired yet, but the clock has run out on this as well. Ashwin announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket after the Gabba test against Australia on 18th December 2024. This came as a shock to everyone and sent twitter into an absolute frenzy.
