Ramiz Raja was sacked from his position as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief after the Men in Green suffered a 0-3 loss to England in the recently-concluded Test series at home. The former cricketer was replaced by Najam Sethi by the Pakistan government, who also appointed a 14-member committee to govern for the next four months.
After being sacked, Ramiz Raja has not shied away from expressing his thoughts. and took to social media making sly comments towards Sethi. He also went on to reveal details of his exit and the ill-treatment he received. Speaking on his official YouTube channel Ramiz Raja was quoted saying, “Aisa inhone hamla kiya cricket board mein aake. Mera saman bhi nahi lene diya inlogo ne. Subah yeh 9 baje, 17 bande dhandate fir rahe they cricket board mein. Jaise ki koi FIA ka chapa par gaya.”
According to the reports, the former cricketer was also sacked because he was speculated to force people and convert to Islam. This is not the first time that such an incident has been reported when it comes to Pakistan Cricket. Earlier, in 2021, a resident of Melbourne claimed that a cricketer from Pakistan tried to convert his friends to Islam and went on to file a report to the police. There have not been any names taken so far, but the above-mentioned incident links back to the likes of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

A Twitter thread by Pakistan Untold, which also dates back to 2021 claims how many every ex-Pak cricketers like Ramiz Raja were/ have been involved in converting non-Muslim players towards Islam. A lot log high-profile names, which include the likes of Saqlain, Mushtaq, Inzamam, Saeed Anwar, Imran, and Md Yusuf, have been mentioned in the thread claiming how they ALL worked for Jihad.

Back in 2017, former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria claimed that he was targeted for being a Hindu in the team. Speaking to the ‘Samaa’ channel, he stated how a few players were making remarks behind his back. However, he ended up just ignoring them and focused only on cricket and winning matches for Pakistan.
Sri Lanka’s Tilakaratne Dilshan is also speculated to be approached by be Pakistan’s Ahmed Shahzad, asking the Lankan batter to covert his faith. The duo were caught talking on camera in Dambulla, Sri Lanka when they were walking back to the locker room.
