The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will kick off soon with PSL 2023 beginning on 13th February. Pakistan’s ongoing T20 tournament has gone on to be one of the best franchise based competition in the world since its inception in 2015.
Six teams take part participate in the mega event, with each outfit squaring off against every opponent at least two times in the tournament. PSL follows a round-robin format, with the top four teams making it to the knockout stages in the quest of winning the trophy.

There have been quite a few hard-hitting batsmen who have made themselves household names by coming up with some solid performances. Babar Azam, who featured for Islamabad United and Karachi Kings in PSL, is leading the charts for scoring the most runs in the tournament’s history. He has scored 2413 runs in 68 matches and 66 innings with a high score of 90*. Peshawar Zalmi’s Kamran Akmal finds himself ranked second on the table, having scored 1972 runs from 75 matches and 74 innings. Fakhar Zaman, who has played for Lahore Qalandars since 2017, is the third name, having scored 1939 runs in 63 matches. He boasts a strike rate of 138.79.
