NZ vs PAK: Decoding Pakistan Squad against New Zealand

NZ vs PAK: Decoding Pakistan Squad against New Zealand: After being thrashed by India and Zimbabwe in the season opener, Pakistan made a good comeback against the Netherlands, Bangladesh, and South Africa. However, the chances of getting qualified into the semi-finals were still nill, but the Netherlands defeated South Africa, and the doors of the semi-finals opened for Pakistan.

Pakistan’s journey into the semi-finals in T20 World Cup 2022 was a roller coaster ride. The men in green would look forward to taking advantage of their fate and defeating New Zealand in the first semi-finals. Both sides are packed with the best talents in the world and would look forward to thrashing each other and proceeding into the finals.

As mentioned before, Pakistan is a team that can’t be trounced. The squad has the best bowling line-up in the world. The opening line-up looks incompetent, but the team has one of the best middle-order batters. Before an epic clash, let’s decode Pakistan’s squad against New Zealand.

NZ vs PAK: Decoding Pakistan Squad

NZ vs PAK Probable Playing XI: Babar Azam, Rizwan, Haris Mohammad, Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim, Naseem Shah

Batting:

With Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan not in form, Pakistan’s batting line-up entirely depends on Shaan Masood and Ifthikar Ahmed. Masood and Ahmed had performed well in the previous games and were also in good shape. In five innings, Masood has scored 134 runs with a decent batting average of 44.66. On the other hand, Ahmed scored 114 runs with a batting average of 28.50. Please note both batters had batted well for Pakistan, and one cannot deny that Pakistan against India crossed 130+ runs because of these two batters standing on the crease.

Bowling:

With Haris Rauf in such good form, Pakistan will look forward to restricting New Zealand to under 130 runs. Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim will lead the pace line-up, along with Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz leading the spin attack. Apart from Zimbabwe’s upset, Pakistan had performed exceptionally well against each team they faced.

Pakistan is a team that cannot be beaten. The bowling line-up is the best in the world. The starting line-up appears inept, but the team has one of the best middle-order batters.
