New fantasy sports site ‘My11Circle’ on the block

The fantasy sports sector in India has only seen sharp growth till now, with key players in the business riding the wave. Overall, Dream11 is an industry leader by a huge margin, but there is still a lot of opportunities for young companies. Play Games 24×7 Pvt. Ltd, one of the leading companies in the gaming industry, parent company of the famous RummyCircle, has now entered the fantasy sports scene by announcing a new site called My11Circle.

Play Games had previously launched a horse betting website called Turfbets and has shown previously that it is enthusiastic about real money gaming sites. My11Circle will be starting its operations from 1^st February 2019, as mentioned in their press release. The statement reads, “Fans can pick and select players from both sides in a match and create a fantasy team of their own. Basis the performance of their selected 11 cricketers, a team owner can win exciting cash prizes.”

The website details its plans for offerings. There will be Cash Contests and Practice Contests. Cash Contests will be of three types: Small, Mega and Private. Small and Mega contests will have a fixed entry fee, but players can create teams after paying the fee. On the other hand, Private Contest fees and cash prizes will be decided by the player and will be flexible. Players can also invite their friends and family to participate in Private Contests.

The Practice Contests are specifically designed keeping in mind the difficulties novice players would face. New players can practice and test their skills here, which have zero fee, and can also see their rankings among the best of the Fantasy players.

My11Circle’s launch comes at the perfect time. As per a recent Indian Federation of Sports Gaming (IFSG) report, online fantasy gaming has witnessed an explosion in India and has seen exponential growt, from 20 lakh users in 2016 to over 4 crores in 2018. The trend suggests that India is all set to beat US and Canada that has around 5.93 crore fantasy sports users for now.

Coming to the My11Circle launch, Bhavin Pandya, co-founder and CEO of Play Games 24×7 said, “Today is a very important day for Play Games24x7 as we launch our first ever fantasy game. We, of course, start with cricket but the goal is to offer multiple games in this format.
